So I built NasGo — a faster, fairer way to get home jobs done in Birmingham. One founder, starting in my own neighbourhood, doing it properly.
Why I built it
Getting a job done at home shouldn’t be this hard.
You need a plumber. You search online and see wildly different prices with no explanation. You call five people; three don’t answer. One quotes £150, another £400 for the same job. Who’s right? Who’s reliable? You have no idea — and meanwhile the leak’s still dripping.
I’m a solo founder in Birmingham, and I built the NasGo app and this site myself because I was fed up with that. Not with a big team or a call centre — just one person who thinks your time is worth more than a week of waiting and a stack of unanswered calls.
There had to be a better way. So I started building it — in Harborne.
How NasGo works
A photo. A fair price. A vetted pro.
Snap a photo of the problem and NasGo suggests a fair price from local Birmingham rates. Vetted local pros take the job, you pick the one you want, and your payment is held safely in escrow until it’s done. NasGo takes a flat 20% — that’s how I keep the lights on, and there’s nothing hidden on top.
Harborne first. Done properly.
I’d rather get it right for one neighbourhood than spread thin across the country. NasGo is launching in Harborne, B17, with a handful of vetted local pros and three services — cleaning, handyman and basic plumbing. Moseley and Edgbaston are next, then the rest of Birmingham.
